Be part of a unique, server-wide event to defeat the Worm Cult and assist the Stirk Fellowship in the Battle for the Writhing Wall Event. This is a first of its kind event for the Elder Scrolls Online where players will have to work together and complete challenges in order to breach the Writhing Wall. This guide will cover the event details, rewards, and how you can be a part of Tamriel history.
Writhing Wall Event Overview

Dates: Begins October 13th
The Writhing Wall event will begin on October 13th and continue on through three stages. Band together with your server to make progress on each phase to bring down the Writhing Wall and fight against the Worm Cult. Each phase will have different goals where you and your allies can work together to complete. If you do not own the Seasons of the Worm Cult Content Pass you can still participate in the event off Solstice! The rest of this guide will cover useful details and tips on the event.

To see your server’s progress on the event, a new tab for the event will appear under the Activity Finder section of your in game menu. The Official Page for the Writhing Wall event is live, visit it to see how each server’s fight against the Worm Cult is going.
What to Expect during the Writhing Wall Event

Help the Stirk Fellowship and your server defend themselves against the Worm Cult . The world changes as you play through the event, environments will change as the forces upgrade, defenses will look different. The event is supposed to last longer than other events, it will be available for over a month. You will have plenty of time to log in and participate. Below is a breakdown of what each phase will entail, the screenshots are from the Writhing Wall event stream I attended on October 1st held by the ESO Community Managers.
Phase 1: Supply & Defense

Phase 1 is all about helping the Stirk Fellowship prepare for their assault against the Worm Cult. Siege Camps will need supplies and the Fellowship will require help against the invading cultists. Check your map if you are on Western Solstice, there will be Delve and Public Dungeon invasions by the Worm Cult. The invasion sites will light up in blue on your map.
Phase 2: The Assault Begins

Phase 2 will have some changes as mentioned above. A new World Boss called Ghishzor will appear in Western Solstice during phase 2 of the event. Also, Phase 2 of the event will actually show the Siege Camps upgrading from your efforts!
Phase 3: The Writhing Wall Falls

Phase 3 will begin once Update 48 is available. I will update this guide once we have a release date for Update 48. Please keep in mind that The Writhing Fortress will only be available for 7 days during phase 3. This phase of the event will only be available for players who have access to the Content Pass so if you would like to be a part of all three phases of the event don’t forget to grab yours.
Correction: In the slide above, it says Western Solstice when but is supposed to say Eastern Solstice.
The Writhing Fortress & Eastern Solstice

During phase 3, your server will fight through the Writhing Fortress a Public Dungeon available only for a limited amount of time. Eastern Solstice will become accessible during Phase 3. In Eastern Solstice there are new Delves, a Public Dungeon, Bosses, and more. The Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 2 quests will also become available, continuing where the previous story left off. A new quest “Crossing the Wall” will become available from Prince Azah when this phase of the event begins for players that have completed the first part of the Seasons of the Worm Cult story. Make sure to seek out Prince Azah at the Sunport Rampart Camp before heading into Eastern Solstice to begin the next part of the story quest!
How to Participate

If you haven’t had the chance I recommend doing the Solstice Prologue Quest (Free) and completing the first story quest in Western Solstice ( Requires Content Pass). This will help you catch up with the story and prepare you for the next part of the story in Eastern Solstice.

The Introduction Quest is called “Support the Fellowship” and is available from the Crown Store for free if you prefer to get it that way. Seek out Skordo the Knife at the Rampart Camp outside Sunport on Solstice or go to the Stirk Fellowship Camp on the island Stirk. You can get to Stirk via boat from the docks of Vulkhel Guard, Davon’s Watch, or Daggerfall. Please note: You will need access to the Content Pass to get to Solstice but you can still participate in some of the event from Stirk if you don’t have it.
Daily Quests

Daily Quests progress your servers’ fight against the Worm Cult, so you will need to complete these to help move each phase of the event along. You can pick these Dailies up on Solstice or Stirk. All four of the Daily Quests for the event will be available from the Rampart Camp on Solstice. For Orinde Glenuvon’s quest, I recommend doing this in the Deetra Grotto Public Dungeon in Western Solstice if you have access. It makes it a lot easier to gather the Vitrified Souls especially when many players are online.
Available Quests:
- General Zasimba: Clear out Worm Cult Siege Camp Incursions (Requires Season Pass)
- Quartermaster Nurwalne: Gather supplies like fats & furs from various animals.
- Armorer Reistaff: Craft armor & weapons at the camp.
- Orinde Glenuvon: Kill Worm Cult members & collect Vitrified Souls.
